Holla! :D 12th-16th may at Kota Rainforest Resort, Kota Tinggi, Malaysia -- Year4 Level Camp 2008 totally rocked :D Really enjoyed the camp, the times with my group Kawan (friends in Malay), 4Falala, Elves, Draka, and of course our lovely instructors, Sheemun and Ahmad (4F2), and Wenjie (aka Bobby), the best best best section leader ever! :D

Day1 - 12th May
Had to assemble at MOELC opposite school at 6.45am. So early argh! :/ After settling all the admin stuff, boarded the bus and headed to Kota Rainforest Resort. First impression of the place was "Wow! So clean :D" Cos we were only at the entrance of the resort heh(: Draka got to stay in chalets for the first night yay! :D Bunked in chalet 204 with cass, bobo, jiayi, christine, nicole and denise. I must admit I wasn't very happy cos they all took very long to bathe, but well I do so sometimes too :/ Lunch was not bad to me (food during a camp), only that very squeezy.

Our first expedition - Waterfall :D It was really fun! We had to walk a very long distance on road and watch out for vehicles to reach the entrance. Then started walking through mud, water and climb over rocks :D I didn't get bitten by leeches haa! XD At the turning point area, each group had to get into the water and get splashed. So everyone was dripping wet on the way back. Cold :/ Loved the experience! Oh, and helping out your friends over slippery areas does give a huge sense of satisfaction yay :D Heard the whole trek was 10km in total. Wow! :D

Headed back to campsite for dinner before the confidence walk. Indivdually. Waited very long for my turn. At first was a little scared but couldn't help giggling whenever I walked past the instructors stationed inside. So sad the route was quite short :( Had supper and finally got to meet up with lim jiahui (we different group :/) She very funny! :D Stop in the middle of the bridge to call her mum cos there was reception -.-" Returned to chalet, showered and slept. The chalet got aircon haha cool :D

Day2 - 13th May
Rise and shine at 6.30am. Checked out of chalet and moved into tents :( Had breakfast, followed by nature elements activity. We did river casketing where we sat on tyres and sailed down the river. So shuang :D But back hurt from all the rocks ouch! Then was side traverse which I din't do cos no time and I'm too short :( Lunch before settling off for Johore River! :D

Our second expedition - Kayaking :D Had to do many drills before the actual expedition began. Amy and I did 2-man kayak while others did 3 cos not enough people :/ But we power! :D Cos we kayak with little effort also can overtake so many boats and we always ended up one of the most front haha :P It was very fun! We exceeded Hydra's turning point too! (: Then had some capsize demo in the water which was funny. Then turned back and kayaked back to starting point. Got a splash under the water hose and a funny convo with the instructor:

Me: Waaaaaa! Damn cold... =X
Instructor: Girl can you bend down a little? Can't...
Me: (I kinda cut her off) Huh? I thought I am short enough :D
Instructor: ...Can't you see that I am not that tall?
Me: Oh hahaha! But I'm still shorter ma :P HAHAHAHAHA!
Instructor: Ok done! (I walked off in a laughing fit! :D)

Hee! Had packed dinner and then at night went for firefly cruise. Gosh it was really such a pretty sight ^_^ Like a natural christmas tree! It was very mesmerizing really(: I caught 2 in my hand haha! Kinda shocked I actually dared to catch them. Heh then headed back to campsite. Supper and then showered. We showered in the open shower and had to use our towels to cover each other -.-" Hands very tiring but it was quite hilarious too! :P At least the open showers were alot cleaner than those with doors(: Nice bathing experience but I hope there won't be again XD

Day3 - 14th May
Rise and shine at 6.30am. Had low elements activities in the morning. Tried the high beam first where we had to get ourselves over the beam. Did the activity with 4E1 and we broke our record time of 4:21 mins to get everyone over yay :D Next was the tangling hands one which we had alot of difficulties cos we had 2 circles. Then was the rebirth one where we had to carry everyone through the tyre. Alot of teamwork and trust needed(: But we did it, again! Last was the seesaw one where we had to try to balance the whole beam off the floor. Rather tough but well, 20 sec for the other group? Not bad :D

Our third and final expedition - Mount Panti :D The starting was pretty similar to the waterfall one cos alot of mud. But there was an extra weight behind - the jerry tanks of water, mass tins, maggi mee, baked beans and sausages! Cooked our own lunch at the first checkpoint. Our noodles was not bad until it started to get very salty. Why? Cos we were too lazy to change the water but everytime we added a new packet, we added more msg -.-" haha! :P The second to third checkpoint was the most challenging! Cos it was very steep and some parts were slippery. But we made it! 3 cheers for everyone :D Going down was again a tiring one but very fun! I felt so bouncy without the weight of the jerry tanks.

Reached back the campsite ahead of schedule and since we were the only ship back, so we got more time to bathe and eat yay! :D Then had campfire prep which was kinda flop cos the class broke into some arguments and :( But in the end alot of people helped out and came up with suggestions. Brought the stress level down :D Then had a very high song and cheer sessions for Draka in the MPH. Learnt songs and came up with our ship cheer! Love it :D Slept in tents again after supper.

Day4 - 15th May
Rise and shine at 6.30am. Had the teamtanic where we had to build a raft and sail across the river and back. Our class raft flopped badly but what matters is still the bond we have right :D In the end we swam all the way across the river. Xiangyu, elaine, elizabeth and zhikai did the first lap and me, deborah, joe and weixun did the second. Haha drenched from head to toe! Then had lunch and campfire prep again. This time was much much better! :D Then was mass game. We had to use the water bombs to hit and make the teachers who were kayaking in the water capsize. Funny! :D

Showered and final prep for campfire! Our class item finally showing some awesome results :D Had dinner with bbq food by the instructors. Thank you :D Then campfire started. 4G's dance was nice and the guys were really amusing (no offence!), 4H's dance was cute, 4J's was touching! It's sad that ziyu will be leaving our cohort, though I don't know him very well but still :( Our class item pulled off successfully yay! I think our class song really very cute! :D Mr Koh and Mrs Phua's speeches were very touching. We were crying :'( Mr Koh asked us to capture the scene then and remember it forever(:

Campfire ended about 12.30am. Had mass debrief for Draka and then group debrief. Another very touching one but I was already numb so din't cry again. In fact, I kept bursting into laughter :P All ended about 1.45am. Packed our stuff, washed up etc and slept about 3.30am. Plus we had 12 people in the room this time cos the other room flooded :/

Day5 - 16th May
Rise and shine at 6.20am. Checked out of chalet and had our last breakfast. Then our last time crossing the shaky bridge which I love alot :D Took many photos and got instructors'
signatures. Then prize presentation which was both funny and touching. But have alot of anti-climax stuff, like electives and report slip :/ Took a level photo before leaving. But the background is all the buses so ugly! :( Finally left the campsite :'( Our bus had so many cockroaches inside. I caught 3 in one piece of tissue :P Haiyo it kinda made me determined to overcome my fear of cats and dogs but very difficult leh :(

Reached Eunos at about 2pm. Went to parkway macs with weijia and yutse joined us a little heh(: Gossiped about people and talked about level camp! Then finally went home. So tired~ But all in all, I really enjoyed the camp (except the toilets) and it's really an extremely good break for me from studies. Don't like lessons =X Maybe I shall go into this line in future! Go for more expeditions(: Yay!
